Gary Utter

Owner

With a background in commercial banking, Gary brings a unique set of skills to the leadership of Salt Spring Island Pharmasave.  His banking experience and MBA from the University of British Columbia allow Gary to effectively manage the day to day finances and operations of both Uptown and downtown stores.

Gary's passion for the Pharmasave brand is obvious, as he has served on the Pharmasave Regional Board for over 12 years, and has also served on the National Board for over 6 years. Gary is always working to better himself and the various Pharmasave stores across Canada.

Even greater than Gary's passion for Pharmasave and serving customers, is his passion for family.  You can often find him spending time with his daughter and wife when not working at the Salt Spring Pharmasave.

Linda Ramsey

Owner

Linda is the youngest daughter of one of the Pharmacy's founding members, Les Ramsey.  Originally gaining her business experience in furniture sales and interior design, Linda joined the Pharmasave team as a partner (along with her husband Gary) in 1997.  Linda loves the creative Day to Day, Linda can be found working with the cosmetic and giftware teams, organizing displays and choosing the next great gift products for her valued customers.

Christy Andrews

Office Manager

Christy is the longest running team member, with just over 23 years of experience with the Salt Spring Island Pharmasave.  She has lived on the Island for 35 years and is a 5th generation Islander.  Throughout her years with the Pharmacy, Christy has worked at various jobs, but currently serves as the Office Manager, allowing her to utilize the skills learned from her Accounting and Booking certificate from Camosun College.

Christine Steffich

Pharmacy Manager

Chris has been with the Salt Spring Island Pharmasave for over 10 years and serves as a Pharmacy Manager at both store locations.  Chris combines the skills learned at the University of British Columbia (a degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences) with her passion for helping poeople.  She is a constant source of information for the Salt Spring Island community, where she was born and raised.  When not behind the counter, Chris can be found spending time with her family or at their cabin.

Lynn Vanderwekken

Pharmacy Manager

After working with the Salt Spring Pharmasave as a cashier and customer service representative, Lynn set her sights on becoming a Pharmacist.  She successfully graduated from the University of British Columbia with a degree in Pharmaceutical studies and returned to the Salt Spring store as a Pharmacist.  When she is not at work Lynn is often found at an event or meeting for the many clubs and teams as she supports her children; Grace, Mathew and James.

Christine Craig

POS Operator

With a very obvious eye for perfection, Christine manages the Point of Sale systems for the Downtown Pharmasave.  Like many other team members, Christine began her career as a cashier and worked her way to her current role.  She really enjoys the flexibility of her job and the chance to work with such a great team of positive people.  When Christine is not working, she can often be found singing in a local choir, working out at the gym or spending time with her 2 daughters.

Debbie Davenport

POS Operator

With a very keen eye for detail, Debbie manages the POS systems at the Uptown store location.  As a 12 year veteran of Salt Spring Pharmasave, Debbie greatly enjoys the flexibility in her work, and the opportunity to interact with various staff members in her role.

Susan Borland

Merchandise Manager

Debbie has been in the retail business for 30+ years.  It is this experience and deep passion for helping people that makes her perfect for her role as Merchandise Manager.  Having worked with Salt Spring Island Pharmasave for over 11 years, Debbie loves the diversity in her job and the opportunity it providers her to interact with the community of Salt Spring Island each day.

Wafa Whitcutt

Merchandise Supervisor

Withing moments of meeting Wafa, anyone can tell that she loves her job.  With over 16 years of experience in retail, Wafa has developed a sincere passion for helping people and managing a retail floor; a passion which she brings to her role as Merchandise Manager each and every day. Wafa has lived in Salt Spring Island since 2002 and has worked with the Pharmacy for 5 years.

Dorrie Jensen

Merchandise Displays

A graphic designer, a dental assistant and even a website designer.  Dorrie has a diverse background, a true testament to her creative talent. Dorrie has worked with the Salt Spring Island Pharmasave for over 7 years.  Working alongside Linda, she brings her creative talent to the design and setup of the Giftware and Cosmetic displays.
